I’m so happy you’re here! About me:
I hope this site feels like a source of encouragement as you navigate your path forward.
I have worked in mental healthcare for 19 years and have been a licensed therapist for over 15 years. My clinical experience includes inpatient psychiatric care, community mental health, outpatient behavioral health, group private practice, and now my own private practice. I was on the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for over a decade and served as the lead psychotherapist in the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Department there before transitioning into group private practice. Now you’ve found me here - flying solo!
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with people from all walks of life. While I’ve worked extensively with people in healthcare, I’ve also worked with people from many different backgrounds who are simply trying to understand themselves, navigate change, and figure out what comes next.
While my professional background matters, I also believe that who we are as people inevitably comes into the therapy room with us. I am deeply curious about people and the stories they carry. I believe life can be surprising, beautiful, and adventurous—and sometimes incredibly hard and scary.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and systemic. I want therapy to be a space where you can be honest without having to perform, where we can make room for difficult things without losing sight of humor, hope, or the parts of you that feel like you. If feeling like yourself feels challenging right now, my goal is to offer a little ease and understanding as you find your way back.
I believe healing can involve more than talking about our experiences. It can also involve developing a different relationship with our emotions and nervous systems. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I incorporate somatic approaches and practices into my work. I am a certified yoga teacher with additional training in trauma-informed yoga, and I have expanded my services to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
I truly feel that my work with my clients is a privilege. If you are interested in beginning or rejoining therapy, I would be so happy to talk with you further.
